After dying in a subway accident, Kei Kurono and his childhood friend Masaru Kato find themselves transported to a mysterious room dominated by a black sphere called Gantz, which forces them into a deadly game: hunt down and kill dangerous aliens hiding among the human population of Tokyo, using strange weapons and suits, or die trying. With no clear rules and no way to opt out, Kurono must decide whether to fight for survival alone or risk everything to protect the people around him.
