Episodes 1-12 open on the night of Princess Yona's sixteenth birthday, when she witnesses her cousin Soo-Won murder her father, King Il. Forced to flee with her loyal bodyguard Hak, Yona sets out to find the legendary Four Dragon Warriors — Kija, Shin-ah, Jae-ha, and Zeno — whose power may help her reclaim her place and protect the kingdom.
