Yes. The Kishin Battle Arc, episodes 48-51, is entirely anime-original and not adapted from the manga. Rather than the manga's eventual lunar showdown, the anime stages its final battle between the DWMA and the awakened Kishin Asura within the ruins of Baba Yaga Castle, giving the 2008-2009 TV series its own self-contained conclusion years before the manga finished.
