Season 1

Eps 1–22 · 22 eps

How does Psycho-Pass begin?

Episodes 1-22 (2012-2013) are set in a future Japan governed by the Sibyl System, which quantifies every citizen's mental state as a numeric "Psycho-Pass" to predict criminal potential before a crime occurs. Rookie Inspector Akane Tsunemori is partnered with Shinya Kogami, a fallen Enforcer, as they hunt Shogo Makishima — a man whose Psycho-Pass cannot be read, making him invisible to the system meant to stop him.

Season 2

Eps 23–33 · 11 eps

What happens in Psycho-Pass Season 2?

Episodes 23-33 (2014) follow Akane, now a more seasoned Inspector, as she investigates a new threat — a mysterious figure named Kamui — while confronting deeper cracks in the Sibyl System's authority and the ethics of the society it maintains.

Season 3 & Sinners of the System

Eps 34–41 · 8 eps

How does Psycho-Pass conclude in this numbering, and what are the Sinners of the System episodes?

Episodes 34-41 (2019) introduce new leads Arata Shindo and Kei Mikhail Ignatov as Season 3 shifts focus away from Akane for its main cast while she operates from the shadows. Episodes 42-44 fold in the three "Sinners of the System" theatrical films (Case.1-3, all released January-March 2019) directly into this site's numbering as "Act One," "Act Two," and "Act Three," bridging Season 2 and Season 3 with standalone stories starring the original cast.
