Description

Ichigo's signature ability — he fires a wave of concentrated spiritual pressure (Reiatsu) from his blade Zangetsu. The crescent-shaped blast is blue and black normally, becoming jet black when empowered by Hollow chakra. The name literally means 'Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer' — a compressed slash of moonlight energy.

Trivia & Notes

  • Works by swinging Zangetsu and releasing the spirit energy at the blade's tip
  • Black Getsuga Tensho is far more powerful and is the foundation for Final Getsuga Tensho
  • Zangetsu (the inner spirit) taught this technique to Ichigo directly
