Techniques & Signature Moves
Ichigo's signature ability — he fires a wave of concentrated spiritual pressure (Reiatsu) from his blade Zangetsu. The crescent-shaped blast is blue and black normally, becoming jet black when empowered by Hollow chakra. The name literally means 'Moon Fang Heaven-Piercer' — a compressed slash of moonlight energy.
Ichigo's Bankai (final release of his Zanpakuto). Unlike most Bankais that grow larger, Tensa Zangetsu compresses all power into a sleek black blade, granting Ichigo extraordinary speed — nearly instantaneous movement. The black chains (Tensa) represent the binding of immense power into a single point.
The 'Final Getsuga Tensho' — Ichigo becomes one with Zangetsu himself and releases all of his accumulated spiritual power in a single absolute strike. He temporarily becomes a black-robed figure with long black hair. The attack extinguishes all light like a moonless night sky and deals near-absolute damage. The cost: permanent loss of all spiritual powers.
Ichigo can manifest a Hollow mask that dramatically amplifies his speed, strength, and Getsuga power while giving access to Hollow techniques like the Cero. Initially uncontrollable, he gains mastery over it after training with the Vizards. A reflection of his mixed Shinigami/Hollow heritage.
