This 24-episode series (2006, Studio DEEN) primarily adapts the visual novel's "Fate" route: high schooler Shirou Emiya is drawn into the Fifth Holy Grail War, a secret battle royale between seven mage "Masters" and their summoned heroic-spirit "Servants" fighting for the wish-granting Holy Grail, after he unexpectedly summons the Servant Saber.
