How does Ajin: Demi-Human begin?

Episodes 1-13 (2016, Polygon Pictures) follow high schooler Kei Nagai, who discovers he is an Ajin — a near-immortal being capable of surviving fatal injuries — after a truck accident should have killed him. Hunted by a government eager to experiment on Ajin, Kei goes on the run while another Ajin, Sato, pursues a violent campaign of revenge against the humans who persecute their kind.
