Twenty-Fifth Bam, a boy who has lived his entire life in a cave, enters the mystical Tower to pursue Rachel — the only person he has ever known. He has no power or purpose except to find her. The Tower tests all who enter.
Bam enters the Crown Game with raw shinsu ability and defeats competitors far more experienced than him through instinct alone. The tower begins to take notice of the irregular who entered without invitation.
Rachel, whom Bam entered the Tower to find and protect, pushes him off the water bubble in the final test. He sinks into the abyss. She continues climbing. The protagonist's innocent devotion is answered with cold betrayal — the most shocking moment in the series.
Twenty-Fifth Bam, believed dead, emerges alive from the abyss after years. He has trained under the Floor of Test's master and chosen a new name. He enters the Tower again with different eyes — no longer for Rachel, but for his own answers.
