Saitama, a hero who trained so hard he went bald and now defeats any opponent with a single punch, is bored — bored with invincibility itself. He encounters a villain called Vaccine Man and obliterates him in one blow, then goes back to sleep. The premise is perfect: satire and celebration of the superhero genre simultaneously.

An immediately impressive debut that communicates the series' entire concept in 25 minutes. The animation quality from Madhouse exceeds almost every contemporary action series, and the comedic timing is perfect.
