About

The crew's swordsman and first mate. Zoro practices a unique three-sword style (Santoryu) and dreams of becoming the world's greatest swordsman to fulfill a promise to a deceased friend. Techniques & Signature Moves

Attack
Oni Giri
Demon Slash

Zoro's signature Santoryu (three-sword) attack. He crosses his two hand-held swords and holds the third in his mouth, then charges at the opponent and slashes in three directions simultaneously. Fast and powerful, one of his most recognizable moves.

Attack
36 Pound Cannon
36 Pound Phoenix

Zoro fires a compressed air slash from his three swords in the shape of a bird/phoenix. A long-range flying slash attack with penetrating force. The "36 pounds" refers to the number of earthly desires in Buddhist teaching.

Attack
1080 Pound Cannon
1080 Pound Phoenix

The ultimate upgrade of the Pound Cannon series. Zoro fires a compressed air slash of immense power representing 1080 earthly desires — the Buddhist sum of 108 × 10. One of Zoro's most powerful ranged attacks, used against high-tier enemies.

Style
Santoryu
Three-Sword Style

Zoro's primary fighting style — the Three-Sword Style, where he holds one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. This self-created style is unique to Zoro and is the foundation of nearly all his named techniques. He created it as a child to defeat opponents stronger than himself.

Form
Asura
Ashura / Demon Aura Nine-Sword Style

Zoro's most powerful pre-Wano technique. By channeling his fighting spirit to its absolute limit, he appears to manifest two additional heads and four extra arms — nine swords total — an illusion created by sheer force and speed. Named after the Asura, a powerful being in Hindu and Buddhist mythology.

Weapon
Enma
Enma (King of Hell)

One of the 21 Great Grade swords, Enma was once wielded by Kozuki Oden — the only man ever to wound Kaido. Enma actively drains Haki from its user, demanding the wielder constantly replenish it or risk having all their Haki consumed. For Zoro, mastering Enma meant controlling and permanently flowing Haki through it.

Power
Kokuto
Black Blade

A permanent state achieved by permanently infusing a blade with Haki, turning it jet black. Only the strongest swordsmen can create Kokuto blades. Zoro achieved his first Kokuto during his battle with King in Wano — turning Enma permanently black.
