Shiryu was the former Chief Jailer of Impel Down who was imprisoned for excessive brutality against prisoners, freed by Blackbeard during the breakout, and quickly became one of the Ten Titanic Captains of the Blackbeard Pirates. He possesses the Suke Suke no Mi stolen from Absalom, granting him invisibility — combined with his master swordsman skills, making him an essentially unblockable fighter. He is widely expected to serve as Zoro's final opponent.
