King Riku Doldo III was the beloved king of Dressrosa who was manipulated by Doflamingo into attacking his own people to discredit him, giving Doflamingo the pretext to 'save' the kingdom by deposing him. Despite being publicly remembered as a monster who attacked civilians, he lived in hiding without defending himself, refusing to add to Dressrosa's suffering with civil conflict. His restoration as Dressrosa's king after Doflamingo's defeat is one of the arc's most satisfying moments of public vindication.
