Leo is the captain of the Tonta Corps of the Tontatta Tribe, a tiny people who worship the Straw Hat Pirates as descended from their legendary hero Noland, whose Nui Nui no Mi allows him to stitch things together non-destructively — including stitching himself to walls to climb them or stitching opponents' clothing to the ground. His tribe's long connection to the Dressrosa royal family and their enslavement as toys by Doflamingo's subordinates gives the Tontatta subplot its emotional core.
