King the Wildfire is the strongest of Kaido's Three Calamities and a member of the Lunarian race—a species said to be capable of surviving in any environment and bearing a flame on their back—who wields the Ryu Ryu no Mi: Model Pteranodon. Fiercely loyal to Kaido who freed him from government captivity and accepted his Lunarian identity without question, he served as the de facto commander of the Beast Pirates' air forces. His battle against Zoro during the Onigashima raid became one of the arc's defining confrontations, revealing the secret of Lunarian physiology and pushing Zoro to awaken his own king's ambition.
