Kawamatsu is a kappa fish-man and one of the Nine Red Scabbards who served Kozuki Oden with absolute devotion, renowned for his unique sumo-inspired sword style called Merman Combat. He spent years imprisoned in Udon's quarry mines after being captured while secretly stockpiling weapons and protecting starving children, his spirit never breaking throughout his long captivity. His fish-man strength, his tender heart for the weak, and his iron will make him one of the Wano Arc's most steadfast and beloved warriors.
