Kanjuro was one of the Nine Red Scabbards and a retainer of Kozuki Oden who was secretly a spy for the Kurozumi family, having infiltrated the Kozuki loyalists as a self-described 'living puppet' with no attachment to life, deployed by Orochi to betray them from within. His Fude Fude no Mi allowed him to bring his rough drawings to three-dimensional life, a power used both in seemingly genuine camaraderie with allies and eventually as a weapon against them. His revelation as a traitor and his willingness to sacrifice everything to fulfill his mission to the family that gave him a purpose made him one of Wano's most devastating and morally complex antagonists.
