Kaku is a CP9 agent who infiltrated the Galley-La Company as a skilled carpenter and shipwright while secretly serving the World Government, wielding the Ushi Ushi no Mi: Model Giraffe which gives him both a giraffe form and a powerful hybrid shape. His earnest personality and genuine love of shipbuilding created an odd likability even as an antagonist, and he later reappeared as a CP0 agent fighting under Lucci in the Egghead Arc. His Rankyaku mastery—launching razor-sharp air slashes—and his uniquely awkward Giraffe Fruit make him one of One Piece's most entertaining fighters.
