About

Helmeppo is the son of the corrupt Marine Captain Morgan and began the series as a cowardly bully who tormented Shells Town before Luffy humbled him. After his father's disgrace, he underwent genuine growth by training under Vice Admiral Garp alongside Coby, evolving from a spineless villain to a capable, earnest Marine officer. His transformation from the series' first real antagonist into a dedicated protector of the peace is one of One Piece's most satisfying long-form character arcs.
