Jugo

About

Jugo is a member of Sasuke's team Hebi/Taka and the original source of the Cursed Seal enzyme that Orochimaru derived from the natural energy that flows involuntarily through Jugo's body, a gentle giant who experiences violent rage episodes he cannot control and who chose prison voluntarily to protect others from himself. His bond with Sasuke—the one person who can calm his rages—and his fundamental sweetness in his lucid state create one of the series' most affecting 'person seeking peace from their own destructive nature' stories. His ability to absorb and redirect natural energy when needed makes him devastating in battle, but his preference for never fighting defines his character.
