Choji Akimichi

Choji Akimichi is a member of Team 10 from the Akimichi clan whose techniques use calories converted into chakra to expand his size to enormous proportions, making him a slow-starting but devastatingly powerful combatant once fully warmed up. Sensitive about his weight and initially underestimated, his willingness to consume the Akimichi's lethal red pills to defeat Jirobo in the Sasuke Retrieval Arc nearly killed him but demonstrated his absolute commitment to protecting his friends. His bond with Shikamaru and Ino forms the series' most enduring trio friendship.
