Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn

Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn is the twelfth DBZ theatrical film and one of its most celebrated, featuring the debut of both Gogeta (the Fusion Dance version of Goku and Vegeta's fusion) and the villain Janemba — a supernatural being born from the accumulation of evil souls when a dimension-collapsing accident destabilizes the boundary between the living world and the afterlife. Janemba's first form is deceptively childlike and playful; his Super Janemba form is lean, crimson-red, and devastatingly powerful — one of the most visually striking villain designs in the franchise's theatrical history. The film's visual creativity extends to Vegeta's struggle with his continued afterlife pride.

Fusion Reborn is beloved for multiple reasons: Gogeta makes his theatrical debut in a film-exclusive form that showed fans for the first time what a fused Goku-Vegeta via dance would look like; Super Janemba's design is widely considered one of the best original villain concepts in DBZ's theatrical catalog; and the film's humor — particularly Vegeta's reaction to the indignity of doing the Fusion Dance — provides welcome levity.
