Majin Buu is the ancient magical creature created by the wizard Bibidi and later reawakened by his son Babidi, a childlike being of pure destructive instinct who absorbed evil to become progressively more dangerous forms culminating in Kid Buu—the original, most unpredictable and purely chaotic incarnation. His ability to regenerate from virtually any injury, absorb fighters to gain their power, and convert living beings into candy makes him one of the most uniquely dangerous antagonists in Dragon Ball history. The revelation that the innocent Mr. Buu split from him after absorbing the pure goodness of the Grand Supreme Kai gave the series one of its most unexpectedly tender character arcs.
