Lelouch vi Britannia — exiled prince living in conquered Japan — accidentally receives the power of Geass from a mysterious woman named C.C.: the power to command anyone absolutely with his eyes. He uses it immediately to massacre a squad of soldiers, then begins planning his revenge against the Empire that killed his mother.
