Anya Alstreim is the youngest Knight of the Round and pilot of the Mordred, a stoic girl with seemingly little emotional affect who documents her life in a photo journal because her own memories feel unreliable to her. The mystery behind her memory gaps and her connection to Lelouch and Marianne's past is one of the R2 season's more intriguing threads. Her gradual awakening from detachment through her encounters with Jeremiah Gottwald—who comes to protect her as a form of atonement to Marianne—gives her one of the series' more quietly affecting character conclusions.
