Gauche Adlai is a member of the Black Bulls who was a noble reduced to criminal status and incarcerated before being recruited by Yami, whose Mirror Magic allows him to create reflections and multiply magical attacks exponentially. His absolute obsession with his little sister Marie—to the point of aggressive hostility toward anyone who distracts from protecting her—is both his defining character trait and his greatest vulnerability. His capacity to step beyond his limited worldview when pushed is one of Black Clover's recurring minor character arc themes.
