Elfman Strauss is Mirajane's younger brother and Lisanna's older brother, a powerfully built member of Fairy Tail whose Beast Take Over Magic allows him to transform his body to incorporate the physical traits of monsters he has absorbed. The trauma of accidentally using a full Beast Take Over he couldn't control—nearly killing Lisanna in the incident that led to her apparent death—left him obsessively committed to proving his 'manliness' through strength and straightforwardness. His arc from traumatized overcorrector to genuine protector of his sisters is one of Fairy Tail's warmest supporting character threads.
