ONE is a Japanese webcomic artist who created One Punch Man (2009) and Mob Psycho 100 (2012) as self-published webcomics with a deliberately crude art style. His storytelling instincts, however, are widely praised for their deceptive emotional intelligence and satirical precision. One Punch Man was rediscovered by manga artist Yusuke Murata, who contacted ONE and produced a redrawn manga adaptation that became a global bestseller. The anime adaptation by Madhouse (Season 1) is considered one of the finest action anime of the 2010s, celebrated for its animation quality and comedic timing. ONE's career — from an unknown webcomic artist to a major franchise creator — is one of the internet era's great creative discovery stories. He continues to publish the original One Punch Man webcomic alongside the professional adaptation.
